Kinetic Art Piece

A friend of mine put on a robotic-themed art show in about 2004. She asked me if I would make something for the show. I agreed and built a kinetic sculpture that I never named that had a large number of metallic rods with beads at their ends. They were manipulated by a mechanism similar to what a helicopter has inside to control the pitch of its blades. This kinetic art piece was controlled using a CD player and a circuit board that I made that converted one channel of audio from a specially-formatted CD that was generated using data from Servo Animator. The remaining audio channel played soothing music.
